Air Montenegro has signed its first codeshare partnership. The carrier will place its designator code and flight numbers onto Turkish Airlines’ services between Istanbul, Podgorica and Tivat, as well as between Istanbul, Dubai and Baku. In return, Turkish Airlines will codeshare on its counterpart’s services between Istanbul, Podgorica and Tivat.
Commenting on the partnership, Bilal Eksi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, said, “Beyond being one of the world’s key global aviation hubs, Istanbul also serves as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia. Our cooperation with Air Montenegro will not only give fresh momentum to traffic between Turkey and Montenegro but will also create added synergy for tourism and trade”. The CEO of Air Montenegro, Vukadin Stojanović, added, “This codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines marks an important step in strengthening Montenegro’s international connectivity. By combining our regional network with Turkish Airlines’ global reach, we are able to offer passengers more destinations, greater flexibility and an enhanced travel experience, while at the same time supporting the development of cultural and economic ties between our two countries”.
